According to Sarawakku, the meeting took place at the Waterfront Hotel, Kuching, on 21 July 2026. The delegation was led by Mustafa Centre Singapore Managing Director and owner Mustaq Ahmad, with representatives from Global Halal Alliance (GHA), Haltex Group Pte Ltd, Mustafa Centre Singapore and other strategic partners.
Named attendees included GHA co-founder Dr Annie Woo, Mustafa Centre Singapore co-founder Rahmat Shah, Iqbal Hussein, Italian buyer Emmanuel Marelli, and Page Eight Singapore Sarawak representative Dylan Tan. Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi were also present.

The courtesy call was held before the official opening of the Borneo International Halal Showcase. The briefing covered the Sarawak Export Programme under MINTRED — strengthening global market access for Sarawak entrepreneurs through strategic international collaboration, retail platforms, capability development and long-term market partnerships via the Global Halal Alliance ecosystem.
Products flagged for export promotion include premium Sarawak coffee, pepper, Bario rice, pineapple, dragon fruit, Empurau, dabai-based products, kek lapis, laksa paste, instant food, beverages and other value-added halal products.
